SAHOF and USA Hockey

WHAT IS SAHOF? 

SAHOF means Statewide Amateur Hockey of Florida, Inc. (SAHOF). SAHOF is a non-for-profit corporation structured to administer all of USA Hockey, Youth through Adult, affiliated amateur ice hockey programs in the State of Florida. SAHOF operates under a grant of authority of USA Hockey, headquartered in Colorado Springs. All SAHOF by-laws, hierarchy and operations are sanctioned under USA Hockey. SAHOF became the active governing body in Florida in 1996, and was it granted charter in 1999 at the annual Congress for USAH. Florida is a member of the Southeastern District  

WHAT IS USA HOCKEY? 

USA Hockey, Inc., is the national governing body for the sport of ice hockey in the United States. As such, its mission is to promote the growth of ice hockey in America and to provide the best possible experience for all participants, by encouraging, developing, advancing and administering the sport. SAHOF is to Florida, as USA Hockey is to the sport of hockey throughout the United States.
